About this app

Your Spotify + YouTube Music library, on your phone, in FLAC.

Stash mirrors your Spotify and YouTube Music libraries to your Android phone. You connect each service, pick the playlists and mixes you want, and Stash either downloads them as real FLAC files for offline playback or surfaces them as a streaming index so you can stream tracks without filling up your storage. Same library, two modes, one tap to switch.

There's no Stash account. No subscription. No ads. No analytics. Your credentials live on your phone, encrypted, and the only network traffic Stash makes is to Spotify and YouTube themselves.

Home screen — Daily Mixes, sync stats, supporter pill Now Playing — FLAC 24/44 lossless

Online vs Offline Stash has two modes. They decide what a sync actually does.

Offline mode Sync downloads each track as a FLAC file (or the closest lossless source available) and stores it on your phone. Once a track is on disk you can play it forever with no connection. It costs storage but no recurring data.

Online mode is for people who don't want the storage hit. Builds a streamable local index of your library — Almost no storage, but you need a connection to play.

The FLAC backbone - QBDLX — a program that downloads streams directly from Qobuz. - arcod These are run by people doing it for the love of it — mostly solo, mostly free. They're the whole reason Stash can hand you a real lossless file instead of a re-encode. If Stash earns a spot on your phone, send a little of that their way: a thank-you, a tip, whatever you've got. We stand on their shoulders. 🙏

Library - Spotify + YouTube Music in one unified library — liked songs, playlists, daily mixes, every Spotify mix worth syncing - Bulletproof matching — finds the right version of a track 99% of the time - Last.fm scrobbling, optional, off by default - Wrong-match flag — if Stash picked the wrong version, tap once from Now Playing and it queues a re-search - Likes and History mirroring — When enabled, each track you like & stream in Stash lands in your Spotify & YouTube accounts.

Playback - 5-band equalizer with presets, bass boost, virtualizer - Crossfader - Normalizer - Synced lyrics, pulled from LRCLIB and scrolled with the track

Privacy - No Stash servers. No accounts. No analytics. No third-party crash reporters. - Cookies stored on-device, encrypted with AES-256-GCM via Google's Tink - The only network requests Stash makes are to Spotify and YouTube directly - GPL-3.0, every line of code is open source

What's new

v0.9.121Oct 26, 2026
  • Full art: Now Playing's art fills the screen, and the album's pages turn behind the controls as the song plays.
  • What's new - Full art. Now Playing's cover now fills the top of the screen, fading into the controls below. As the song plays, the art moves on to the back cover and the pages inside, drifting slowly across each one so you see all of it. Swipe across the art to turn a page yourself. Prefer the square cover? Tap the arrows button at the top of Now Playing to switch, and Now Playing remembers which way you left it. Make full art yours. In Settings → Appearance → Full art, choose how close the art is (zoom all the way out to see the whole cover), how fast it drifts (or stop the drift), and whether it fades into a blur of the art or a solid color. - The title, your way. The song title now sits on the left. In Settings → Appearance → Now Playing you can put it back in the center, and choose the button beside it: the sleep timer, nothing at all, or a shortcut like Lyrics, Queue, Radio or Share. - Discogs art is your call. Some back covers and inside pages come from Discogs, where people upload their own photos, and some of those are low quality. Turn off Settings → Appearance → Now Playing → Discogs art to see only the scans from the Cover Art Archive. - Stash in your language. Stash now follows your phone's language, or pick one in Settings → Appearance → Language. Settings is translated into 13 languages so far, including Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Hindi, Korean, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish; the rest of the app will follow. Thanks to @ParaliyzedEvo and everyone translating on Crowdin.
  • UX polish - Lyrics open smoothly over full art, and the live lyrics line sits right on the art. - The artist and album under the song title get the full width, so long album names aren't cut short. - Stash now fills in missing albums only for songs you've played or saved, so it does less work in the background.
  • Bug fixes - After the art had cycled to the back cover, turning it over and back could leave it stuck on the back. It now always comes back to the front. - An artist page opened without a connection stayed blank for hours, even after you were back online. It now shows a Retry button that loads the page. Thanks to @ddanialb. - Tapping an artist from a song could open a different artist with a similar name. It now opens the right one, or tells you it couldn't find them. Thanks to @ddanialb.
