About this app

Your Spotify + YouTube Music library, on your phone, in FLAC.

Stash mirrors your Spotify and YouTube Music libraries to your Android phone. You connect each service, pick the playlists and mixes you want, and Stash either downloads them as real FLAC files for offline playback or surfaces them as a streaming index so you can stream tracks without filling up your storage. Same library, two modes, one tap to switch.

There's no Stash account. No subscription. No ads. No analytics. Your credentials live on your phone, encrypted, and the only network traffic Stash makes is to Spotify and YouTube themselves.

Home screen — Daily Mixes, sync stats, supporter pill Now Playing — FLAC 24/44 lossless

Online vs Offline Stash has two modes. They decide what a sync actually does.

Offline mode Sync downloads each track as a FLAC file (or the closest lossless source available) and stores it on your phone. Once a track is on disk you can play it forever with no connection. It costs storage but no recurring data.

Online mode is for people who don't want the storage hit. Builds a streamable local index of your library — Almost no storage, but you need a connection to play.

The FLAC backbone - QBDLX — a program that downloads streams directly from Qobuz. - arcod These are run by people doing it for the love of it — mostly solo, mostly free. They're the whole reason Stash can hand you a real lossless file instead of a re-encode. If Stash earns a spot on your phone, send a little of that their way: a thank-you, a tip, whatever you've got. We stand on their shoulders. 🙏

Library - Spotify + YouTube Music in one unified library — liked songs, playlists, daily mixes, every Spotify mix worth syncing - Bulletproof matching — finds the right version of a track 99% of the time - Last.fm scrobbling, optional, off by default - Wrong-match flag — if Stash picked the wrong version, tap once from Now Playing and it queues a re-search - Likes and History mirroring — When enabled, each track you like & stream in Stash lands in your Spotify & YouTube accounts.

Playback - 5-band equalizer with presets, bass boost, virtualizer - Crossfader - Normalizer - Synced lyrics, pulled from LRCLIB and scrolled with the track

Privacy - No Stash servers. No accounts. No analytics. No third-party crash reporters. - Cookies stored on-device, encrypted with AES-256-GCM via Google's Tink - The only network requests Stash makes are to Spotify and YouTube directly - GPL-3.0, every line of code is open source

What's new

v0.9.122Nov 1, 2026
  • What's new The Sync tab, rebuilt. A fresh install asks once how your music should arrive, with Stream everything picked, and then one sync puts your whole Spotify and YouTube Music on Home and in Library. The tab shows your newest mixes as art; Sync now and Play something new are the big buttons. Each account gets its own page with Playlists, Mixes and Liked, a search, and an In your library check per playlist. History, blocked songs, undo and the log live behind one History row.
  • SoundCloud. Connect your SoundCloud account in Settings → Accounts, or just give Stash a public profile. It syncs your likes, the playlists you made and the mixes SoundCloud makes for you, which show on Home under Made for you. Paste or share a SoundCloud track, set, mix or profile link to add it. Songs play as the exact upload you liked, never a look-alike, and a download keeps the whole recording. A song SoundCloud only lets you preview shows a Preview badge and can't be downloaded. SoundCloud songs stay on the phone: they don't go to the web player.
  • Your record, in the app. The listening record from stashfm.app now lives in Stash, built from this phone's plays and working offline, with its card on Home under Daily Discover. Bring in your Spotify history and your Last.fm scrobbles, see your top artists and songs, what's not in your Stash yet, and mixes only your years can make. Your record feeds your mixes too, and shows your own album art.
  • Paste or share a link. Share a Spotify or YouTube link to Stash, or paste one into the Library's + menu or into Search, and the playlist, album or song is added to your library, downloaded if you like. Paste it again later and Stash adds only what's new.
  • Your own playlist order. Tap Edit order above a playlist's songs and drag them where you want. The order is yours from then on: songs a sync brings in land at the bottom, and a button at the end takes you back to Spotify's, YouTube's or the album's order.
  • Stash updates itself. When a new version is out, a sheet shows what's new and how big it is; Update now downloads and installs it in one tap. Later asks again tomorrow. The first time, Android asks you to allow installs from Stash.
  • Download mode is offline again. With the switch on Download, Stash lists only the songs on your phone and never streams. Tap a song that isn't downloaded and it tells you to switch to Stream only. Stream only is unchanged.
  • UX polish The Downloads screen shows how many songs are really downloading, no longer lists songs that were never going to download, and gets Clear queue and Clear history. Artist pages open About with a row of the artist's photos; tap one for a full-screen viewer. The banner falls back to the artist's album covers, and the header's links are tidier. Full art shows the next song's cover the moment you skip, and keeps its page when Cycle album art is off. More of Settings and the Sync tab can now be translated on Crowdin. Thanks to @ParaliyzedEvo. Bug fixes Censored versions. Songs with explicit lyrics often played their clean versions. There were three causes: Spotify syncs never read the parental advisory, so every synced song counted as clean; songs in mixes borrowed the wrong length from Last.fm, so the radio edit was asked for; and when the clean and explicit versions tied, search order decided. All three are fixed: a re-sync writes Spotify's real flag back, and every source now prefers the explicit version unless the song is known to be clean. A Search tap could play a compilation edit of the song and swap its cover. It now plays the right cut and keeps the song's own art. Lyrics from KuGou are taken only when the title and artist name the song, so another song's lyrics no longer show. Tapping the song card in Now Playing could open "Various Artists" instead of the artist. It opens the artist now. Streamed songs no longer re-buffer from the start when their quality label or cover arrives. Home's "No lossless right now" shows only when every lossless source misses, not when one of them is down. Downloaded songs play their file even when the download finished after they were queued. Downloaded liked songs show the purple check on the Liked tab. FLAC played as loud static on some Samsung phones (Galaxy Note 9). Their decoders are now passed over whatever their case. Thanks to @Hicha-m. Your record: blocked songs never show or play from its mixes, and the mini player shows over the Mixes tab.
