Switchable APK open method: Settings → APK Install Settings gains an "APK open method" option to choose between the built-in installer and the system chooser. With the system chooser, ZenFile no longer intercepts APK opening, so third-party installers like InstallerX and InstallWithOptions can take over normally — batch installs no longer require long-pressing each file to pick "Open with".

Wider "size & spacing" range: the card spacing slider now goes down to -50% (was 40%). At 0% cards sit flush; negative values let neighbouring card borders overlap into a single line. The default is now 0% (new installs start flush; users who already tweaked it keep their value). • Custom shortcut dialog: "icon shape" and "columns per row" are now dropdowns instead of side-by-side buttons, for a more compact and consistent layout.

Fingerprint unlock is now off by default: after install, fingerprint unlock under Settings → Security is disabled by default and must be turned on manually, so a fresh install or upgrade no longer auto-enables biometric unlock. • Fixed the APK security scan: once an API Key was set, turning the scan off and on again could not reopen the config page to change the Key. Now both toggling the switch and tapping the card open the config page to edit the Key. • Fixed "silent install" still reporting "permission denied" even when Shizuku was granted: the Shizuku path now uses the system PackageInstaller session install instead of the shell install command that some ROMs block.
