About this app
Liseur is an open-source EPUB books reader for Android, and a client for calibre-web and Komga: a modern reader that is equally at home with the files on your phone and with your own book server.
👀 Reading * Paginated EPUB rendering through the Readium toolkit, full screen by default * Tap right to go forward, left to go back, the middle for the controls; volume keys work too * A whole page always fits the screen, with no stray scrolling to catch the last line * Four reading themes (Light, Sepia, Dark, Black), independent of the app's own theme * Four bundled open fonts or the publisher's own, plus size, line spacing, margins and brightness * Time left in the chapter, time left in the book, page or percentage, and a scrubber with chapter ticks
🪧 Marking up and looking up * Highlights in four colours, notes, and bookmarks with a corner ribbon * A notebook of everything you marked in a book, exportable as Markdown * Search the whole book, with snippets and jump-to highlighting * Definitions for any selected word, or a hand-off to an offline dictionary app. Online lookups are off until you turn them on, and you choose which Wiktionary edition or mirror answers them
📚 Your library * Index folders of EPUBs, covers and all * Books you are using sort to the front; finished ones get a tick * Pull to refresh picks up whatever changed behind the app's back
🌐 Your own server * calibre-web: one screen sets it up with URL, username and password, and Liseur works out the catalog, download rights and sync token * Komga: paste the server address and an API key * Your server's books merge into the same library with a cloud badge; tap one to download and open it * Reading positions sync both ways, through calibre-web's Kobo protocol or Komga's read-progress API * Remove the copy on the device, or delete the book from the server
🎉 Free software * No trackers, no analytics, no proprietary dependencies. The only network traffic is to the book server you configured and, if you switch online definitions on, to the dictionary site you chose.

What's new
- Books in a series are now grouped together across your library with support for manual volume reordering and refiling. Library filters have been updated to a multi-select menu with clearer empty states, and "put away" books are now referred to as "archived".
- ●Reading ・Added a prompt to jump straight to the next book in a series upon finishing a volume.
- ●Library ・Grouped books into series collections across local EPUB files, calibre-web, and Komga catalogs to track series progress and see missing volumes. ・Added manual series management: long-press any book to change its series name or volume number, assign it to a different series, or remove it from a series entirely. ・Added volume reordering inside a series screen using drag handles or arrow buttons. Custom series ordering overrides server metadata and stays in place across library refreshes. ・Replaced the row of filter chips with a persistent multi-select dropdown menu, allowing you to combine availability and reading progress filters. ・Moved archived books access to the library overflow menu and updated the UI terminology from "put away" to "archived". ・Added a specific empty library message that appears when all books have been read, explaining where the finished books went instead of showing a generic empty screen.
- ●Fixes ・Fixed quick consecutive taps in the filter menu causing previously selected options to be cleared. ・Fixed empty library screens showing inaccurate messages while active filters were hiding books.
