Vyxel Apps

• Compared against v1.0.7. The headline is a second interface — Vyxel now ships two complete UIs sharing one catalog, one download engine and one set of settings — but the fixes underneath it matter just as much.
• 🎨 A whole new interface — "Expressive" A full Material 3 Expressive redesign, switchable from Settings → Interface, and switchable back to Classic at any time. Nothing is lost either way: both shells read the same catalog, search engine, update scans, install history and licence.
• ・New home with a hero carousel and per-source rails that fill in progressively ・New search, updates, sources and settings screens ・Rich app pages with full version history and the ability to install an older release (downgrade) ・Licence, size, min-Android, package name and anti-feature flags on every detail
• 🔔 The "update available" bug is fixed If Vyxel has been telling you an app needs updating, you update it, and days later it says the same thing again — that was a real bug, and it's gone.
• Two code paths compared release tags as plain text instead of comparing version numbers. Any difference at all counted as an update, so a stored 1.0.1 measured against v1.0.1 reported an update forever. The notification fired, the Updates screen showed everything as current, and updating didn't help because the new tag still didn't match character-for-character next time. It also flagged downgrades as updates. Both paths now compare versions properly.
• Entries left behind by the old logic are also cleared automatically on the next background check, so existing false badges will disappear on their own.
• 💎 PRO themes now work in both interfaces All four premium themes — Liquid Glass Dark, Liquid Glass Light, Neon Punk and Cyberpunk — now render in the Expressive UI as well.
• One purchase covers both interfaces. An existing licence key unlocks the new UI's themes with nothing extra to pay and nothing to re-enter.
• 🌐 Source reliability ・Codeberg / GitLab 502-504 errors handled properly. Retry backoff is exponential with jitter instead of a flat third of a second, which was retrying far too eagerly to help a server already shedding load. ・Last-known-good fallback. When every attempt fails, Vyxel serves the most recent cached copy of that source instead of an error. A day-old list beats a red banner. ・A source that failed live but was already covered by the CDN no longer paints an error chip above a rail that is working fine.

• Download VyxelApps-v1.0.8-Dual-Horizon.apk below and open it. If you are updating from v1.0.7 it installs over the top and keeps your settings, favourites, install history and licence.
