About this app
Tadami is a community fork of Aniyomi with a stronger focus on UI quality, Aurora-style surfaces, and a better reading experience across anime, manga, and novels.
Key Differences from Aniyomi
- Aurora-focused UI with dedicated polish for Home, Library, title, and settings screens. - Compose-first app shell, retaining a few intentional legacy View/Fragment bridges for reader, player, auth, or extension compatibility. - Full support for anime, manga, and novels in one app. - Novel-oriented development, including compatibility for LNReader-style ecosystems. - User-facing Aurora customization toggles for key Home and title-card interactions.
Features
- Media types: Anime, manga, and novels in one app. - Sources and extensions: Separate browsing for anime, manga, and novel sources/extensions. - Home and discovery: Aurora Home hub with greeting header, hero card, recent blocks, and media-specific sections. - Library and updates: Unified library management, updates, history, tracking, and download queues. - Aurora customization: Display settings for Home recent card style, Home action button style, and title-card action button style. - Backup and restore: Support across all media types. - Customization: Themes, reader/player behavior, and Aurora-specific visual preferences.

What's new
- # 📦 Tadami — v0.63.2
- This patch hardens the novel reader, the library, downloads and discovery rows.
- --
- ### 🎨 Improvements - **Novel reader TTS** — the engine label no longer flips between one and two lines during playback when the system default engine is used, and follow and highlight work in the WebView renderer without text tools enabled. - **Novel reader book mode** — read time is counted once instead of twice, adopted chapters keep the top bar in sync, the book document identity stays stable across chapter adoption, the WebView mode setting is honoured for book scroll, and auto-scroll runs on a monotonic clock instead of frame deltas. - **Library sections** — the first visit to a section no longer tears down the pager mid-swipe, neighbour sections are no longer stuck loading after a swipe, and the category indicator no longer collapses into the corner before animating. - **Downloads** — the download cache no longer queries every restored SAF document on launch, disk snapshots are written atomically, and novel download counters, chapter ids and downloaded ids stay in sync between badges and filters. - **Discovery rows** — required genres are verified against real metadata before a title is admitted, every selected source is searched instead of the first six, genres and tags are matched across filter groups, and a genre or status change rebuilds the feed from the first page while keeping rows that are merely incomplete. - Path: Settings → Discovery → Genre filters
- ### 🐛 Bug Fixes - Fixed a startup crash on the home screen caused by a partially constructed hub model, and a crash when the novel reader requested focus during composition. - Fixed a crash when toggling fullscreen with text selected in the novel reader: the selection is cleared on the next main-loop turn instead of re-entering composition during layout. - Fixed a vanished novel plugin script and a failing per-plugin source creation taking down extension loading: the plugin is skipped and the remaining sources keep working. - Fixed inline word boundaries removed by source plugins, so words are no longer glued together in the native and WebView renderers; page slices are measured with the render engine, so the bottom line survives vendor measurement differences. - Fixed WebView selection: quote highlighting is dispatched for WebView quotes, viewport coordinates map to physical pixels, and scroll restore is guarded by document tokens. - Fixed novel covers flashing grey on a section switch even when the cover was already in the memory cache.
- ### 🔧 Internal - Removed the dead page-turn snapshot cache and its renderers.
