Description
original paid apps. eXport-it, Android UPnP Client/Server for video, audio, images and eBooks This application contains a UPnP and HTTP server, and a UPnP client. The server runs in the background as a long-running service, and you can use other applications simultaneously. This server distributes by default all videos, photos, music and eBooks (including .pdf) to clients over the local Wi-Fi network and, if configured, over the Internet. It can be used by standard UPnP clients on Wi-Fi networks, but you can also use your favorite Web browser to access videos, music, photos and pdfs on Wi-Fi networks. uPnP client, which is part of the application, provides support for all Android file types, but if you like, you can use VLC (by sample) to play video or audio files remotely by UPnP. with the application, you can use all the files exported by your Android device, from another Android device, PC, Mac, iPhone or iPad... When using a Web browser as a client you can write comments with emoticons everywhere on the page. only comment authors and administrators can delete them. Files can be organized into categories to be distributed in short lists to certain users. you can provide details about photos, videos, ... in comments, and users can write what they think about it. You can select multiple files of the same type on this web page to play. Playing videos with HTML5, WebM and 3gp video support works great, but mp4 can be limited depending on the device. Audio is also played with HTML5 support and some formats may not be supported. all images work great on web pages, but only PDF is properly supported with Web browsers, in the Ebook category. If you have a UPnP server, you can use a client to access it. TV sets with a Wi-Fi adapter (eventually via a DVD reader) can easily use UPnP servers to view videos and photos, but if you have an Android TV device, then you can also run the server and use the client directly on your TV, allowing full exchange of files between your phone, tablet and TV. HTTP server can be used with the internet from your WiFi network just configure the external port number in the configuration. If a non-zero value is given, the application tries to configure the Internet Gateway dynamically by UPnP, otherwise you have to configure it manually. You can additionally, specify a username and password to access certain files via HTTP, and to restrict access via the Internet. Passwords are always encrypted over the network. dynamic configuration but it seems better to change the default server name, font size, and, if you plan to use the Internet, to create a user name and password, before real use. This app supports multiple languages. by default this application uses system language but you can use any of the languages, all user interfaces are dynamically configured including Web pages. to read eBooks on Wifi, other products are required: Acrobat Reader, qPDFViewer, FBReader, CoolReader or ZoReader. To read eBooks remotely with HTTP, you need to use an eBook reader with OPDS catalog support. you can start and stop the Wifi hotspot by clicking the top right icon of the server window, but it doesn't work on all devices. This requires the WRITE_SETTINGS permission. Clicking the same icon on your other devices allows you to connect to the Wifi network dynamically. the password must be provided only for the first time.
